Just fitted new RH engine mount and now when i stop anywhere the engine vibration drums through the car. In saying this the mount will it loosen up? Should I now replace the LH? Will it be worse? Anyone have the same problem? I am running a mod RE-13 cam which is nice and lumpy, so any help be good. |

No, it's fine. With the 282 cam in it now, I need to rev it more for takeoff anyhow.. ![]() |

Does the 1200 take the lump out of the engine? Are the new mounts a harder compound? I found when putting the engine in that two new mounts would not fit, so i have now done one side while the engine in, will the other side go in or have I got two hopes of lineing it up? I been told only one new mount will go in and should leave your best old mount in? |

Are these mounts the ones with the `captive nuts' in? If so, they are too bloody thick.. ![]() Yes only use 1, if so. Yeah unless you got a crowbar and block of wood, bloody hard to fit 2 in. |

I think its the cam...to lumpy mate...I'll take it off your hands ![]() I've heard that new engine mounts aren't being made as good as the originals.... but maybe you should replace the other side as well because now you have stiffened up one side the ...tuther may be flopping around.. How are your engine steady bushes ![]() ![]() |

Yeah, I had Lurethane steady bushes in mine (with remote box) a while back and it vibrated, so I went back to factory rubber ones. ![]() |

ok! I took the new mount out and put the old mount back in and guess what.... No vibration!!! Ok so now I am getting a good old mount to replace the stuffed one. I not think much of the new mounts a bit to firm for me. Runs a lot smoother with the original mounts. |
