Since installing my brake booster the mini is running hotter. Before booster temp used to sit just over 1/2 way. With booster temp sits just under 3/4 way. Is this normal as l have never run a booster before ? I checked the brakes and they are not binding. |

Can't really see why this can be, unless brakes are binding. There is the same vacuum level in the booster as present in the manifold, held in there by a check valve. There's absolutely no airflow there except when you hit the brakes...! |

Unless the booster is stuffed ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Someone before had problems with this sort of thing before I think the car stalled or something when they applied the brakes with the clutch in.... they had tuned the carby to the air leak through the brake booster ![]() |

To check if your booster has an air leak cover the breather on the booster with your hand while the engine is running. If the revs drop or it stalls then it is sucking air through a faulty booster. This happened to mine a while ago. I removed the booster but haven't got round to repairing it yet. |
