Firstly, don't worry. This really is me (Anton aka J_A_M)
I have registered again with a new name. The reason for which you will find out in a minute. I will be using this from now on.
So most know about the 'issues' that have taken place on here and other boards recently.
In short, this is the chain of events:
I had emails from 'someone' seeking to buy my car.
I treated it as being serious, as i thought the emails were genuine. Things got nasty, initiated by the 'someone'. This person then posted a few times on this forum to further stir the pot, although I now realise that the 'someone' has been a member on HERE for a while. The 'someone' also posted on MiniMania, to really make sure I was humiliated worldwide.
The 'someone' was impersonating 'someone else'....A regular on MiniMania. I didn't know this, and had a shot at this person via my website. He found out, and got nasty. Fair enough, as he was innocent from the beginning. He and I have been emailing the last few days, and he is cool with what has happened. I appologised to him, and he understood 100%. He is a VERY nice person.
So here I am with about 6 emails from 'someone' and 3 posts on ausmini. I decided to look at the IP address in the email headers. Not a static IP address, so the user must be on dial up. I ran a 'whois' and got a basic location. From that I assumed it was someone else, and made a brief statement via my website. This was incorrect, as the website I was using to run the 'whois' checks was and is SH!T. I appologise to this person (no names) and will do so privately as well.
Last night poeee and I collected the IP address from the emails and ausmini posts, used the forum's 'whois' facility and found a perfect match
An ausmini user....not quite regular....but known sh!t stirrer.
This time I am NOT naming names, although I know 110% for sure it is this person. LOTS of things add up, as well as the IP address.
For what reason would someone go to such trouble? I have absolutely NO IDEA, but I caution every user of any forum.....it could happen to you. There are a LOT of nutters out there!!!!
Now this whole episode made me realise a LOT of things that I just could not see previously.
I was prepared to walk away from everything. Who needs all this sh!t in their lives?? Not me that's for sure! I have realised that family, work and friends are very important things in life, and words typed onto a screen are worth nothing in the big picture.
I have A LOT of GREAT friends on here, and I thank each and every one of you for the friendship. I can't walk away from that........
Sh!t stirring is bad news. I have done it a lot in the past, and here is my vow to 'zip it' in the future.
To those who obviously like to sh!t stir (like **********, who was behind the very childish antics recently)......you can JAM_IT
