What is Single Point Injection (SPI)? Is it better or worse then Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI)? Whats the difference?

That maroon rover on carsales has SPI.

depending on the purpose...

For Modifications a carby has more flexibility

for a daily/cruiser, the spi (which is better than the MPI) is better.... smoother running... usually fewer k's on the clock..

the mpis were all about emissions.... (much like willy) ;)

[cody mode]

although servicing is a breeze as tuning can be done electronically at place like... hmmm let me see... oh yes... i know..

single point injection Vs twin point injection is what a single carb is to twin carb.

When the old A (+) series went to injection (single at the time) due to emission controls it lost allot of power so to combat the loss of power Rover went to twin point.

Question for the more experienced heads, isn't the 5 speed notoriously unreliable?
