They are pretty stiff when new, sounds like the other is worn. I'd get a new one...

Hi, Im re-installing my steering rack, and I have noticed that one of my tie rod ends has a stiffer ball and peg than the other. With one of them, I can hold it in one hand and move the peg around easily with my thumb, but on the other, I need two hands to get it moving in the same way. Is this ok? or do I need to replace one of the tie rod ends? |

Yep. If loose, it's `worn'. Same deal with balljoints.
