Ok here the g.o
I want a electric green metalic paint job
if i was to strip the entire car and do all the prep work myself how much do you think it would wost for the whole car to be painted metalic electric green, with old english white roof and race stripes.
also how much would it cost if it wasnt metalic paint.
i just need a rough extimate so i know how much money to get.
like if someone could tell me a max amount that would be great.
Thanks

Up to 10,000 for a professional job.
1000 for a backyarder.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmm tough question
ok obviosuly depends on quality and type or paint as in brand of paint etc and amounts of coats used]

metallic should only cost an extra hundead or two as it just means you need to add a clear coat and some flakes

i would say cheapest pro job 1500 most expensive going on some of the prices ive heard of late 10000

I cant speak from experience but ive seen back yard jobs and they usually don't come out the best unless you have lots of practice so I'd say let the pro's do it and save having to strip it twice. 8)

We just bought the paint to do mine in Jet Red (solid colour) `Concept' brand.
4L 2 pack hi-build
4L 2 pack colour
4L 2 pack thinners
--------------------
$543. No clear coat.
As said, metallics are dearer, maybe add another $200.
Name brand paints are dearer too.

If you are painting at home I have ONE opinion only....

Pay the $$$ and buy GOOD paint!!!

Cheap paint = cheap results. I know because I have used CHEAP and GOOD paint...and I have seen results.

My preference is PPG brand paint. Even in acyrlic it is tuff stuff and goes on NICE!
