Post subject: | Blinkers............. |
Hi there, I have a blinker problem, just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem??? The Blinkers are on constantly on the dash, but they are not on outside....When you put the the blinker on left or right they come on the dash and outside but they do not blink..So they stay solid . When you turn the blinker off it goes back to both being lit on the dash but not outside..................................Can Anyone help.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers Monster Mini |

cush how would a blown bulb allow both lights to be on??? its something with the flasher unit, not working properly or not wired correctly. as for the inside lights, they are wired the same as the outside ones, so that could be wrong, im not sure. have a look at your flasher unit if there is one.. then go from there |

Sounds like dodgy wiring.. have they ever worked? The points inside the flasher unit can stick... replacing the flasher unit should easily fix it.. |

Stick a 12v test lamp on each of the wires.... test the 12v input (should be on constantly) and then test the left and right wires, when you have the blinker set to left or right respectively.. Actually before you do that, just put the blinkers on either left or right and see if you can hear the flasher unit ticking.. If theres no sound it probably needs replacing. |

Supercheap or repco shoud have one.. just a generic flasher unit will work.. You might be able to get ones specifically for the mini from a specialist, not sure.. probably won't make much difference.. it just 'flashes'. |

Or if you cant fix the problem just stick a green P plate on the front and back and apparently you dont need blinkers anymore |
