Anyone know the size/thread etc of the mini's temp sender? I need one for my new gauges, I'm clueless if its not in metric  I measured with vernier and got 15.5mm, but want to make sure I get the exact one..

Got this from Manufacturer..
All our senders have NPT thread:
SN22 1/8 NPT (10mm OD)
SN23 1/4 NPT (13mm OD)
SN24 3/8 NPT (16mm OD)
SN25 1/2 NPT (21mm OD)

Cheers
Mat

It is none of those...
Thread is 5/8-18 UNF, or 5/8-16 UNS, depending on who you believe.
Anyhow, I find a 5/8-18 UNF tap cleans it without taking any metal out, and they are way easier to get.

BTW,
Same thread is used for the bypass adaptor in underside of head. I make these out of BOC brass oxy hose joining nipples (5/8-18 UNF RH) and they screw straight in. Last forever... 8)

Thanks Doc..

Damn.. as for the figures, I'll run them by the supplier and see what they suggest.

The gauge requires a sender with the ohm range 240 - 33. (100F - 280F) Any idea what the standard mini sender uses?..

Most gauge places used to sell adaptors for these.
Sorry no idea of the resistance on Mini ones, but the Clubby was a little different to our Mini K, `Matic and Cooper S one.
