gonna sound stupid for this... but i bought this mini not long ago and it cames with most the engine disassembled but the block head and clutch are left in... when i bought it the parts were in boxes aswell as the nuts and bolts... i really havent got a clue which to use on what part!

any got any idea's?

With more detail or photos we can help and advise you but the question is just too wide in scope at the moment.

ill try and get photos for you, for now i am going t o organise them all into there diff sizes etc

don't forget photos of the holes so it is easier to say stick that bolt in that hole etc

Before you go sorting them nuts and bolts into size groups - grab a large container(coffe tin etc) and 3/4 fill it with degreaser, dump all the nuts and bolts into it and let it soak for twenty four hours. If you have an old aquarium air pump then stick the air hose under the nuts and bolts and let it bubble away for a few hours. You will end up with clean nuts and bolts - much easier to identify.

Most of us - I do anyway - when we do a mechanical job just dump the nuts and bolts into a degreaser tin as the engine (or what ever) comes apart. Then clean a dry the nuts and bolts just before you need them and lay them in a flat tin (like the wife's best cake cooking tin - cheaper to buy cakes from woolies anyway) and almost by magic you will find the right nut or bolt for the part.

Couple of hints though - dont force a nut or a bolt if it doesn't want to mate up to a thread. Occasionally you will find that bolts are either too long or too short - swap them until you have the right bolt. There are two threads - coarse and fine - be careful to use the right thread particularly into aluminuim and finally - the nuts on the manifold are brass.

yeah, i got a lot of the stuff onto it!!! just need the exhaust, wires and hises, clutch assembely and the accelerator cable on it!
