They are all 5/16" UNF, the 4 rear ones are Nyloc type. You can get them at Lee Bros, in Dunlop St, Nth Parramatta, or at EDL in Foundry Rd, Seven Hills. ![]() Check the threads on the bolts- good idea to change them too if they're suss. <edit> yeah a bit of copper grease is good. |

Supercheap have the best prices on those high tensile unf packages, and Bunnings often have packs in the clearance bin for like $2 |

You can get cad or zinc plated. Be aware that plating can compromise the strength of the threads. I bought some grade 8 plated ones when doing up a Mini LSD, the threads peeled off 2 of them. Nasty... IMO, the best thread preservative is good ol' Permatex #3 aviation gasket cement. It seals the threads, doesn't set completely hard. I use it on the underwater bolts in outboard motors. 10 years later they still come apart OK. ![]() Dip the subbie bolts in it then screw them in... |

Jimbo, I just finished spraying my rear subframe tonight. It looks better than new. I used KILL RUST Black Epoxy Enamel and my compressor and gun. Before you do anything to yours, take a look at mine. I recommend you use the same stuff! I am going to the All Brit show on Sunday. You could take a look before or after if you want. I might source my own bolts, thanks mate. Yours may be different lengths, being a van. |
