I bought a kad quickshift from Britain, the rod type with the lift up reverse collar (replaces the lift to reverse). This is what I bought: http://www.7ent.com/detail.cfm?pageid=1950
Anyway I cant find any info on how to fit it, I took it to Link but they could only get gears 1 & 2 & have never put one of them in before. Has anyone done it?
I need to fix it asap as my current original shifter doesn't work & just twirls around & is very hard to use.

Help my parents are abusing me for buying a bomb (acc. to them)

hi i have one in my mini and also put one in a moke they r great but u shouldnt have a problem but they are quite a tight fit i know that u might not have pushed it in all the way and make sure the cup bit the ball slips in to is the right way around if u know what i mean then kinda line the 2 holes up on the side u know the ones that hold it in place when push hard till the purple colar bit goes all the way down then poke something through to make sure u have lined the screw holes up. then it should be fine i didnt have much of a problem ay like in mine to get 1st gear nicely i go 2nd then to first if u understand but yer if u have any problems or questions just email me at [email protected] cause i can alway ask my old man to mate so yer good luck

Thanks for the info, I'm going to take it back to link with your info & also had some help from Minisport who sell them. Your right though, it's what they said.
Thanks, just also wondering does the reverse collar thing work like a charm?

if that doesnt work and u wanna get rid of it, then the problem with your standard stick is that the pin in the side has come out because the groove in the stick for it is worn. mine did this, put a new stick in and it will work fine. with the quickshift just widen the quicshift bell inside where it goes over the standard bell. should work then. cos aussie rod change casings are bigger then uk ones for some reason.
