Hi all

The Nullarbor express is stripped and almost ready to be resprayed. I am going to do all the work myself and have designed a rather different type of paint job...

[/img]http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e207/nullarborexpress/BRYANSMINI.jpg[img]

As you can see in the pic i have a dilema :? Should I paint the roof white and put the southern cross on with blue stars or paint it blue and use white stars (as per the flag)?
The blue will be done in a metalic finish as a solid colour (no airbrushing to give a flag type effect) whereas the red and white will be airbrushed to give theeffect of being a 3D ribbon/flag. the white section will not be white but be done in very light metalic silver.
My existing contesa's will be resprayed the same colour as the white/silver on the flag.

So white/silver roof or blue?
Also any other comments would be appreciated
Cheers, Bryan[/img]

Design looks great , I'd say the blue roof , otherwise it may be a bit confusing with the white background .

That's different, i'd go with blue on the roof :D . Or you could have the flag so it starts on the roof then flows down the side of the car :?:

Using the same rims I have on it now... 10 x 5 contessas but resprayed in metalic silver or grey and polished up to look nice and 'snazzy'. Budget restricts me from getting the rims i want until much further down the track...

what if you stopped the union jack at the back of the door and then put the stars over the rear quarter panel and boot :?: the fuel cap could even be one of the stars

That way you could keep the roof white (I sort of like the white contrast as said before the blue stars on a white background does confuse things a bit)

You must of had a good Australia day I reckon :D 8)

I agree your design looks better than the flag that comes down from the roof.

thought about that... but with leaving the jack as it is and putting the southern cross on the pillars behind the rear passenger windows. that leaves the roof free of anything but a solid colour; wether that be white or blue...

White roof... either one looks great but i'd go for the white roof to add the contrast as well as it being cooler in summer.

Oh, i just realised that they were stars on the roof... I don't like them. If you are gonna put stars on it leave them off the roof, it doesn't look right. If you feel stars on the roof is a must then the roof should be blue with white stars as per the flag.
