Post subject:  Break lights are fudge-mungled

hi all!

that means they arent working! Heyy guys for those who dont know me cause i have never posted before i bought chezel from Zerial, and chezel's break lights arent funtioning! The parkers work and the blinkers but no break lights...

please help!

Check the brake light switch which is a fluid pressure switch mounted on the drivers side rear of the front subframe (follow the brake line down from the master cylinder to the subframe and you'll see a junction block , the switch should be on top of it) , it's possible the connecter could have come off , also check the bulbs themselves though it seems unlikely for both of them to have stopped working . If bulbs and switch is connected then time to check the switch is working with a multi-meter while someone pushes the brake pedal on and off . Hope this helps , should be something simple like a connector loose or off .

Also check the connection and clean them up (this happened to me)...bugger If I had of known you had problems I would have stoped in I was just up the road at the doctors and waited four hours for a perscription..you may have heard me leave.

i found that where the wires connect to eh switch, that one of the pongs have snapped off, any ideas on how to remove it?

ive removed the part with the longest-ass socket arm ive seen to date

thanks for the help, hopefully i can now attend a mini cruize before chezel has a date witht he spray booth
