Spray bog :? I'd try and get the majority of the dent/s out, then only use a small amount which is sanded back any-way. (Is that what u ment by spray bog)? If you have the space/time...could make up a Rotisserie, be able to get at every-part of the car.

yeah spray bog is used to get rid of the fine imperfections that i may go over...and yes percentage of it will be sanded :)

1. glass bead sandblast

you have all the steps but not in the right order, 1 & 2 are ok 3 etch prime 4 Prime 5 rub back 6 fix imperfection with spray bog or hand putty 7 prime repaired areas and rub down 8 paint 9 underside and wheel arches with deadener or body shutze and you can paint over it then 10 cut and polish

I would etch prime straight after blasting the shell. That way you minimise the risk of surface rust.

You can easily grind off the etch if you have to do any weld repairs.

If you have to skim fill over any dents, it is better to have a coat of etch under the filler as filler absorbs moisture over time.

This is my opinion only and others might think differently.

No offence, but I can't stand that stuff!! I reckon it traps moisture where it shouldn't, and looks yukky.

Seriously, what do you gain from it?

If water gets into the car, Anton, you want to keep it away from the steel. You need something that won't crack over time, that has good adhesion. That's why I used 2-pack tar epoxy on the floor of your 850. It's watertight, as you know! 8)
