Hey allo!! Could anyone help me with this. My mini has decent rubbers for the windows but the window has alot of movement in it (forwards, backwards etc). Will the window locking strip take care or this or am i after new seals?? ![]() |

If you dont have a locking strip in there, put one in. It will stiffen it up considerably. |

But if the rubber seals have perished in any way it may as well be done now while its easier. |

New seals and locking strips are not that expensive and it solves a lot of problems. The "movement" description worries me a little as i had the entire windscreen start to enter the cabin of the car while doing 100 plus kph without warning. It was due to perished rubbers simply letting go. They visually looked okay though. Juggling the steering, and holding the screen and keeping it out of the cabin all at once certainly grabs your attention and it was a good laminated screen too so i did not want to let it fall to the road. |
