| Post subject: | Brake regulator valve spring? |
I have just pulled apart 3 old brake regulators to clean them up for storage and there are 2 different spring lengths. I think that the cooper s had a different spring in it due to the disk front end but not sure which spring it is. One spring has 9 winds and is 32mm long and the other has 10 winds and is 36mm long. Anyone know which is which? |

No idea of spring lengths, but here are the shutoff pressures- There were way more springs than I thought. 850: early 250-300psi, late 450psi incl van Mini Deluxe: 370psi early, 390psi late MiniMatic, Moke & 998 van: 390psi Cooper 997: 250-300psi early, 450psi late 998 Cooper: 450psi 1098 Mini saloon, van & Clubman, BMC Moke: 390psi Coopper S:370psi to car #1322, 340psi later including Clubman GT, 1275 Moke.. |
