hey all, duno if this is the right forumn, but im posting it here!

my clubman bottems out, ALOT, more than it should. im runnig 12s with yokos , i think the rear suspention is farked, front doesnt scrape much , any suggestions, on how to fix the rears, duno what suspention it is, its the ones that look like the long thing witha small bush at 1 end, witha big rubber lookin flangey thing at the back

You'll probably find the the knuckle joint has chewed its way through the nylon bucket and is now burrowing into the suspension arm.

Remove the rear shock, drop the suspension arm remove the knuckle joint (the "small bush" in your description) from the end of the alloy trumpet and replace with a new one.

Dead easy (although in practice the parts have probably become quite happy where they are and will resist being separated).

If you still want more ride height, insert a small (1 -2 mm) thick hardened steel washer between the knuckle joint and the trumpet. If this still isn't enough then you're probably looking for a new rubber doughnut.

PS Being a Clubman, your car will have "dry" suspension.

Not nessicarily early clubmans had hydro suspension

Ooops you're probably right.

OK before you do anything I said, look behind the rear wheel. If there's a shock absorber, go ahead.

If there's a spring, seek further advice.

I'll bet there's a shock because tired wet suspension don't go soggy at the rear.
