could be looks like the walls may be a little fine but if you are not going to build a higly stressed motor i think liners would be fine makka |

Gearbox, 22G1128 i think is a remote, all synchro box out of Mini K or Cooper S mk2. Crankshaft, on the list I have it says 12G1505(no A), EN16 1.75" con rod journal, 1275 not Cooper S, so maybe a 1100S crank. Hope that helps. (maybe the A after 12G1505 means it goes with the A+ block, not sure, someone else will know) Steve. |

I was told the you will make more power with a sleeved motor, GR puts a step at the bottom of the block for added strength..i think price was around ~$25 a sleeve, but you need to pay for two bore jobs..one to fit the sleeves and the other to match the sleeves to your piston size.. + labour |

some good info guys...thanks very much. the sleeving sounds interesting!! ![]() im not so sure about that gear box tho. i want a rod change, so that it can go back into my clubby...the gear box i have right now would go straight under this 1275 correct?? does anyone know if that crank looks as if it has grind left in it? how can i tell? thanks for the speedy responses. |

i have heared that the material they use to sleeve the blocks is actually quite good and it is really no prob if you are gonna build a monster of a motor. from what i heared it will take it. Your Clubby S body will not take a remote box unless you modify where the remote housing goes up to where the gear stick pops through the floor, but in saying that i am sure it wouldnt be too hard to change this |

yeah i didnt think it would be interchangeable. Perhaps for 300 dollars three gear boxes, an 1100, a 1275 is a good deal? think in the future i could sleeve that 1275 and go for a great engine. jus not sure bout that crank...enough meat on it? |

A remote box is the better system. The gearchanges are quicker and more precise, and it double as an extra engine mount. Fitting one to a clubby is not hard either. A well build rodchange in fine though, i love mine. Compared to most other rodchanges though a remote is alot better. Just a matter of finding one..If you have a rodchange stick with it. |
