Buy a rover. They come with internal hinges standard. Again, use the search feature. I'm sure theres at least two other topics where this is debated in detail. ![]() |

When I get home I'm going to make a thing for the How To section titled: "How to use the search function" ![]() Internal hinges on an aussie car is a bitch of a job to do cause so many things would have to be changed. It would be easier to get a rover. |

rovers are too expensive... hence why i looked into importing a whole Uk mini.. which turned out to be more hassle |

Mate... Doing the panel work to an old mini to internal hinges isnt CHEAP. NOTHING IS CHEAP. If you want cheap, buy a Datsun ![]() |

I'm affraid it is , it's a whole different design and would involve some pretty decent design and construction on your part and the need to get it all passed by an engineer in the end . Very time consuming and expensive unless you are doing it all yourself . Keep an eye out , particularly at insurance auctions and the likes , for a rover shell already out here , anywhere from 67 (I think ?) onwards the English mini's had the internal hinges , Have a look in the members gallery at my odd pic's , I found the 78 South African Vanden Plas mini at a wreckers with a blown 1275 for $1300 in the mid 90's . There are a fair few English mini's out here that aren't late model rovers and can be picked up reasonably from time to time . |

hmm this is what Kazjim is talkuing about. Someone asks an innocent question on here. Will mate, there is no need to be so sharp with someone. I have a HELL of a time trying to use the ****** search function and i just dont bother. And i have been on here and posted a fair bit. If you dont know the answer then dont bother putting up silly responses to make someone feel stupid and not welcome in our community ![]() |

If it is a 76 it can't be a Rover (but it can be a round nose with internal hinges) |
