Has anyone in Sydney had a basic 6 point steel roll cage fitted to their Minis in recent times??

I was just after a rough idea of cost for a bolt in one.

Any recomendations for suppliers/manufacturers in Sydney??

Cheers

Yeah Bonds are the place to see..

Or you can see any of the conversion places.. they all install Roll Cages...

Mr Enforcer...

RDG Engineering

Etc...

I think Bonds are a bit more then 800 ... more like 1200

Haven't Priced up the mini, but did ring bond re the excel. They're about $800 to $1000 just for the kit - then you have to do it yourself.

I haven't spoken to Mr Enforcer about pricing, but everyone here swears by his work from what I've seen, and one of the excel rally cars I'm looking at buying has a Mr Enforcer cage in it and it looks the goods 8)

When I finally get the Time/Money/spare car to take the General off the road and do it up properly, I'd like to put a cage in it.

The perfect scenario I can see would be getting the rear welded in properly and engineered for road use (probably become a 2 seater) and have a bolt in front section that can be added or removed easily for either road or race applications.

This is just something I have dreamt up myself, and haven't asked anyone in the know if it's possible or practical, but we'll see what happens.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

Bit of a squeeze for the kids in the back of that.

We're going to get a 6 point bolt in version (so it can be painted seperately), with door cross braces.

I'll let you know Mick when I get some prices.
