I was just wondering if you could get things powder coated in silver as a cheaper alternative to rechroming? would it look shiny? i was looking at getting these done: ![]() any info about a good to get them done in sydney would be much appreciated!!! |

Mightn't be as shiny, prolly give it a pretty dull finish. |

u can have it electroplated , powder coating is OK , the silver is good but not shiny |

As others have said. Go for electroplating. But by the time you do that, you may as well have them rechromed. Powdercoating is akin to spray-painting except they are electrically charged paint molecules. I had some wheel done in silver metallic and they look good, but it hardly compares with electroplating or chroming. For rechroming - Astor metal finishes in Villawood (off woodville rd) For electroplating - try the yellow pages, the really good place I have seen is in Melb. For powdercoating - Link powdercoating in Kings Park (off vardy's rd). KB |

awesome! thanks so much for the info guys! ill try polishing them up and post that id go for the rechroming option! i saw some people had painted their leyland grills around where the mini is written and comming down on the sheild thingamo in red and blue etc... is there a paint you could recommend to redo the m's on the caps? |

Take them down to your local plater - rather than re-chroming they might just need electro polishing (cheaper as it just brightens up the original finish) ![]() |
