Give it a sharp tap against a piece of wood or something that won't hurt it..

so you will have to hold both the drive shaft and the cv and bang it ona bit of wood. Bang it down on the CV joint end not the pot joint / uni joint end

make sense :?: :)

you need to compress the circlip a bit and tap it on with a hammer.
Well it worked for me anyway

Post subject:  cable tie

Have I read somewhere where you slip a cable tie over the circlip then drift the joint on??? the cable tie slides down the splines and can then be removed??

Sounds like good bulldust to me :!: :!:

I was going to say I've always found a good sharp tap with a block of wood helps until I read Mick's idea above , that sounds brilliant and should work a treat . :D

hmm i dont think it was the circlip at all, i think it was the spring ring on the end of the shaft. i just made a new one and fed that into the groove and she stuck in...i guess ill see what happens on the other side
