Jan I got the moring off work, Dad drove in to pick me up drove out to Fountain Gate got doughnuts. Parliament was sitting and my boss gave me time off work. I came back with a dozen doughnuts so all was good. They are opening in June and giving away 10,000 doughnuts tomorrow, Thursday, at 10:30am in the CDB, at the QV building. So Jan, rumor confirmed, it's all true. Store will be open in Mid June, with another 2 opened by the end of the year. Lurks. |

oh yer, finally, used to have to wait for dad to get em from sydney!!!! they open stores out far away so that the traffic doesnt root the city in, apparently thats why they put the first one in nsw where it is. |

willy, have you ever had freshly cooked doughnuts fresh from the oil and rolled in front of your eyes through cinnamon? Remember how soft and fluffy they were? Well these are nothing like that, they are cold and stiff from the get go and cooked with 500 of their friends some time before you got up that morning, or the morning before. They are rolled in colours and sugars that would make a classroom of kids explode through hyperactivity.. And they will stay exactly in that half stale state for a couple of days I don't think mould will grow on them... I'm not sure why people go wild over them but whenever I fly out of Sydney you will see people walking on the plane with boxes of them to take back interstate or accross the country. |
