so i went to a gig in melbourne on sat night which was awesome, on the way home i decided to stop in geelong cos it was a mates 21st. so this is around 3am. i park my mini on the street, and we are sitting about 50 meters away on the other side of the road so im surprised we didnt notice. when i got back to the car (after being gone for about 10 mins) some cockhead had decided it was funny to move my car. this wasnt the normal pivot, this time it must ahve been a team of guys who actually picked up the whole thing and put the 2 passenger side wheels up on the curb. in the process they dinted my front fender (which i didnt mind too much as it already was) ripped my front number plate off (deliberately i think, it had been bent up) and he silver trim was hanging off the passenger side as well. im glad it wasnt the new body cos i would have been f***ing pissed.

at least they left the number plate on the ground for me to pick up

there were also a couple of morons out the front of KFC clearly pissed, but just giving everyone a hard tije. not hitting them or anything, but justbeing dickheads. they were giviong this one guy in particular a hard time, and he kept walking away from them but they just kept following him.

Especially old cars.. new ones you buy and drive. Old ones you have to love and look after.. Thats why it gives me the shits to hear an incident like this.

My mini is insured for alot more then I paid for it (probably spent about that much on it now though) but I really wouldn't care about the payout if it got written off. You can't be compensated for the amount of effort and love you put into it.. Unlike new cars, just buy another one they're all identical.

Mini's have always been attacked more than any other car, for a number of years.
I put it down to the novelty factor and the type of cars they are. It's something I've always noticed and the regularity that has happened on here proves that point.
