Hey, just wondering if their is any problem areas or precautions that need to be taken when cleaning the engine, like covering the dizzy or blocking anything so it doesn't get water in it? Thanks. |

Yeah, It's a good thing to avoid the dizzy, maybe open the cap and wipe it out afterwoods anyway for shits and giggles. Also try to be careful around the bulkhead, there's plenty of holes for water to get in there. I try to do it on a slight slope forward so the water doesn't pool around on that shelf and leak in. Some degreasers use a salt of some type and will make all your aluminium look like shite, try to use the standard degreaser made of hrdrocarbons (diesel) intead. They're the cheap 1.99 ones. |
