Post subject:  The History of Astro

I was just talking to the previous owner of Astro . Hoping he wasn't too horrified about what I've done to it. hehe..he likes the white wheels and the flap things that extend out over them (flares) :D

he also mentioned that he "noticed" that i drive it a bit faster than he used to

( i don't know what it is with these old guys... )

I asked him if he new anything about where it came from and it turns out the car was first bought in Milton, Victoria by a lady who would drive it to the train station and then catch a train to melbourne.

:?

google tells me there's a milton in qld and nsw but not victoria but i think he meant nsw and therefore sydney... since milton qld in right in brisvegas...

anyway.. she then sold it to a guy that brought it to SA and sold it to a laydee who then sold it to the previous owner...

that makes me the 5th owner... not bad...
he's listed of a couple of names (one first only and one first AND surname), so i might try give one a call and see if they know any more..

aint history interesting? :)

I'm only the third owner of my LS... A lady in Strathalbyn bought it new, and had it until the late 80's. The second owner had it until 2004, when i bought it.

Still have the original keys, owners manual, warranty card, sales receipt, and service records.

I work near Milton.

I've got the history of my car as well. Was purchased new in 1968 (from NSW) has the name of the dealership on the owners manual, by a young lady (at the time) . She then traded the car in around late 1987 at a Ford dealership in Brisbane (also have the paper work for that).

Was then purchased by the 2nd owner who owned the car up and till June last year when I purchased it :D I was informed that "my car" :D was on Brisbane channel 9's Extra TV program once, was a section about car rallies / car clubs (something like that) The 2nd owner is going to have the video transferred onto CD for me.

I have the original owners manual, sales brochure and BMC optional extra brochure. Still has the original jack and casing it came in.
