No.
the top pipe is the fluid going to the brakes the bottom is the return.
The thing the pipes run into is the divider (forgotten its proper name) that sends the flud to the front and back of the car.

I would've thought the rust hole in the firewall as more of an issue

Just a warning that by removing the twin cylinder you are making the car ilegal as it is one of the ADRs the car must meet :D

Keep the tandem cylinder. If you want to add a servo? just plumb it into the front circuit.

BTW repair kits for that tandem MC are still available, from Repco or brake shops.
`PBR? p/no is K7800X.

the reason i need to change from a tandem to single is the clutch master cylinder with the plastic tank found on early clubbies does not fit, it hits the pipes comming out of the tandem brake cylinder, and both my clutch and single circuit brake master cylinders are brand new. so if i want to keen the tandem i have to go out and buy a clutch master cylinder like the tin type

The dual circuit one should fit with the normal plastic tank clubbie clutch master cylinder , turn the clutch cylinder round 180 degres so the tank is at the back , they were made to be able to fit either way .

Doc is talking about if you were changing the master cylinder to be able to fit a brake booster/servo assist . SOme mini's used a VH44 vacuum powered brake booster that used the vacuum of the motor via a pipe off the manifold to make it easier to push the brake pedal . They didn't increase your braking power , just made it easier to push the pedal . These are easier to fit to a single system and the most common reason for people to switch from a dual to a single system .

i assume when your fitting your new cylinders you will also be replacing the solid lines? if so they do bend quite a bit and should be able to clear the interference
