if anything, the roof mounted areials are the best looking, you can get black powder coated ones, which look cool.

Gold is as bling as you can get, considering the average one is already silver/ chrome! :D

Roof mounted factory LS ones are da bomb. Look right on a Mini, too (of couse, being factory).

I think that it's the case of keeping an eye on ebay.

I think they usually get a patch welded or something on the inside of the guard and then bog to fill it up and sand back to level.

Indeed they do, had one of the useless mirrors on the drivers side mud-guard before. Was taken off and a patch welded in. Not unless you (some-how) fit a electric aerial in?

dude where cant you get em, there everywhere in autobarns, bursons, repco, any automotive shop, and cost a whole $12.99. Thats the after market types, but theres no difference, if not there better.

Modern rooof mounts abound but they are nothing like the genuine LS factory version

And in my opinion - they don't even come close in the bling stakes to the original either

I wear a modern one but keep an eye out for an original - one will turn up sooner or later
