I thoguht this should be put up for all the people who are new to the wonderful world of mini's. As taken from "Backfire", vol 39, #11 page 7 The Lucas motto: "Get home before dark" Joseph Lucas, often referred to as "the prince of darkness" denies having invented darkness, but admits to sudden unexpected periods of darkness! Lucas: The inventor of the first intermittent wiper. (Now it goes, now it doesn't) Lucas: The inventor of the first self dimming headlight switch Happy customer: "I've had a lucas pacemaker for 12 months now and I've never had a prob....." If lucas made guns, Wars wouldnt start either. Why do the english drink warm beer?.........Lucas made fridges too! Alexander Graham Bell invernted the telephone, Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, and Joseph Lucas invented the short circuit. And then there is the theory attributed to Lucas that electricity flowing thorugh any wiring circuit is actually smoke waiting to break free at the earliest oppurtunity... |
