Yesterday i was pottering about in the car. It was 37 or so degree day and (when my guages were working) the oil pressure was a bit lower than it normally is during acceleration and Alot lower than normal while idling.
I put some more oil in and that seemed to help (but not much)



on lookin at it again i think the red idle was a bit lower than that..

It was fine today, but i checked the oil and i had wwwwwaaaaayyy too much in there... like a couple of centimetres above max..


Yes I remember my year 9 physics and i know temp and pressure are related, and that the oil will thin out when it gets hot, but i was wanting to know if this is anything to worry about?

how old is the oil how many mile how long in the motor .....
is it time to replace the oil and filter ???

prolly the oil getting old and looseing viscosity ..... when the doc comes along i'm sure he will ease ya mind or make ya fall in a quivering heap wondering why ya did not do it sooner
but i think just the heat on the day would make it go low
