hey guys,

long time no speak.

i've decided to take orange mini to the next step. i'm going to be putting a ported and polished 12g295 head on my almost stock 1098 engine with a 40 webber which has been dyno'd to be 44hp at front wheels.

at the same time i'm going to be replacing the cam but i dont know what cam would be best for performance. is anyone able to help me with this?

also, how much of a difference do you think the new head and cam will make to the performance?

thanks guys

May I be the first to recommend the Graham Russel RE 13 spec cam. That's what I plan to put in my 1098 later on (with a worked 12G202 and 40DHLA).

To give you an idea of the difference the head can make, my engine with the stock 12G202 head used to rev to 6000rpm. Now I'm (temporarily) running a 998 head and I doesn't rev past 5500rpm. So there is a difference, especially when coupled to the right cam. Not necessarily as much difference down low. I can't tell the difference between heads until I get the revs up.

Anto.
