I should be able to do it for you tomorrow ( various times after 11 ) or Saturday morning if you can arrange it , I was wondering who's van it was anyway . Thought it was priced a little on the high side to start with but if it's what you're after . There feedback doesn't look too inspiring either so if you can't get it checked out then have a good think about how much you want it ......

EDIT , oh yeah , ask the seller how old the photo's are , they don't match the description too well , they say it's had a coat of colour put over undercoat to show up dents etc , the scuttle is still the original blue and there seems to be rust showing through(oops , my bad , just re-read itand say's the red bits are filler ???) the green paint at the front . Also , on the previous listings it say's Sawtell so the car could be within a few hundred metres of the beach , if it's sat for a while it could be dodgie ....

Did they make vans in 79'?

99.9% sure that they didn't so I'll be having a VERY good look over it . There is the remotest chance that a body was assembled afterwards for a govt type fleet (PMG etc) and plated as a 79 model but I've never seen one , or heard of one that wasn't what it was claimed to be .

nothing is rare about a clubby van. the fact that it is listed as 79 van is the
odd thing. As was said, they often complianced cars a fair while after they
left the factory. but not sure of 79 though i have heared of some clubbyies
with this late a date

it won`t be a 79 model, that`s a fact!

78 at the latest & he`s probly reading it as a smudged 78 looking like 79

if you know what i mean

& the vans were all made without windows originally, the panels came out of the presses like that & some were then cut out for the windows afterwards.

Nahh , pulled the pin on the whole thing , monkey figured it's a bit dear by the time the full professional paint he was planning for it was factored into it as well . Personally I thought it was about double what it should be , after all , it's basically just a clubby van in pieces with a set of mags ("new jelly bean mags" , how long has it been since they stopped making them ?????) .
