the thing with spray painting and panel beating is that there is no right or wrong way. (well there are many wrong ways but you know what i mean) there are so many different ways of doing the same thing. so posting up a how-to about painting your car aint gunna work for everybody because we have different funds, patience levels, dedication, equipment, time, etc etc i hope for 666's sake that he does some more serious reading about painting and prep work cause they say black is a hard colour to do and by the sounds of it he hasnt got a very detailed view of how to do it |

I did a one day course yesterday at The Hammer Works run by Clive, the owner (in the black shirt). EXCELLENT ![]() I have never learned that much in one day before! I would highly recommend doing a similar course. With no practical panel experience, we newcomers practiced making up bowls & Harley-Davidson fuel tanks by hand, surrounded by a genuine AC, a classic Ferrari from the York Motor Mueseum, and check out the chopped Chev behind the fat bloke: ![]() We learned shaping, stretching & shrinking metal using hammers & other techniques. I would never have dreamed I would be able to do these: ![]() another thing I learned - office hands and swinging hammers all day don't mix - and this wasn't the only one ![]() ![]() |

I think Mike was confused... He has a piece of rod in one hand and a large piece of metal in the other and probably wondering how he plays the damn thing.. Is it boom boom or boom..tap tap..boom????? ![]() And what lovely soft hands you have Mike but with a bit more hammer work, they will toughen up... ![]() |
