hmmm. my 67 commercial van has no floor button, yours sounds like a 64
i know the went to a key before 67.

Ok, what year did the Uk minis get the recess arround the rear screen? also what year did the floor start button dissappear, i think '63 ? |

my countryman either a '64 or '67 has a floor start button- i actually found it today when i ripped out the old carpet cheers |

Was it just the 850's that had the floor mounted starter or all minis? |

i believe just the 850, as it was replaced with the centre key start well before production of the mini 1000, not sure about coopers though? |

The early Austin super deluxe had a floor start but got a key start December 64. I believe standard 850 didn't but in Australia the ended production where as in the UK they kept going untill the early eighties and know idea when they changed. steve |
