It will take you about 5 litres tp do a mini but if its a custom colour get 6 litres to have some for touch ups ![]() |

6 litres? with 2pak? a mini isn't that big. i used 4 litres of acrylic to paint a peugeot 505 and u use far more acrylic paint to paint a car than 2 pac. all the paint shops i visit say about 3 litres to paint a mini(just the outside). maybe 6litres(3 litres basecoat, 3 litres clear). |

2 points: 1. I used 5L on JAM and I probably could have used another litre. The more paint you put on, the more you have to cut back and get an awesome buffed shine. More paint = better depth. 2. Painting 1 or 2 cars in 2K at home (with a decent mask and suit) won't kill you or ruin your lungs for life. Painting in 2K for a living, without the full on oxeygen suits, will probably do you a lot of harm. I have 2 cars to paint in 2K within the next 6 months, and I am not fussed about it at all ![]() |

True, as long as you're sensible about it all |

don't paint 2pak at home, it is dangerous 4L will be enough to paint a mini and acrylic can give a good finish, its what they painted them with at the factory. |

just because of the fumes ? |

potentially lethal fumes ![]() Some 2 packs can be nasty. Also be aware than even GP thinners can cause cancer, even though contact with the skin (toluene - smells nice but) |
