Ok..what's the go with CV's if they clack in a straight line? If i drive slowly with my window down i can hear a clacking sound from the hub area..

They were replaced less than 12months ago..how long do they normally last?

A lot longer than that, assuming you used new ones. Check the boot hasn't split or come off and let lots of nasties in. Also check your wheel bearing, it may be this that's making the noise.

As you have Honda brakes and those old original pads, it could be them rattling around..
Fit that new set...

Yeah well the driveshafts are hardly straight now, hey!
If near new they should be quiet for many years, it's the dried out grease than makes them clack.
Mine are now 36 years old, worn, repacked 10 years ago, still quiet.
