This was posted on alt.autos.mini and I thought some of you might find it interesting. I'd prefer an oxy sensor in my exhaust personally...

You can use a cattle grid as a dyno 8) It can be a little smokey at times but it works. It would be safer than Vizards way. :wink:

Yeah my mate did the driveway method one day.
He used a single rope from the rear subframe, wrapped around the pillar holding up the second story of his house (garage under).
Pressed go pedal, let go of clutch pedal, instant smoke show.

I dont think he managed to get any readouts tho...
