Post subject: | removing the raditator |
ok very basic topic here, i need to remove the radiator to get to the water pump and engine mount, and i've disconnected both hoses, unbolted it from the supports at the top and bottom, but it won't fit over the fan to come out. so i removed the left side of the upper and lower cowling, but i cannot get to the lower cowling on the other side. Is there anything i'm missing or forgeting? coz im getting mighty angry ![]() |

What do you mean the other side of the cowling? the part thats near the passenger side tower? once youve undone the mount underneath the rad.. u should be able to tilt it forward a bit, and squeeze a 8mm spanner down there.. i dont my water pump a few months ago.. peice of piss mate ![]() |

once you've undone the 2 rear 8mm bolts.. i slid the lower braket through the gearbox and subframe and it fell onto the ground that way, and then u just lift it out... But.. all the best putting it back in.. have somthing you can punch, or smash.. i ended up hiting my garbage bin over and over, those 2 shrouds are sooo hard to line up, then try and get the little 8mm bolts in there with out dropping them ![]() ![]() |

i dont have enuff time to do it now, the engine mount the right and the water pump are still working, i just thought a new water pump wouldn't hurt, and the left mount broke so the right one wouldn't be too far away. so i've scrapped that job and im just worrying about exchanging the one mount that is broken, on the left side WITHOUT a freakin radiator in the way ![]() hope the engine mount on the right doesn't break on the way to Melbourne ![]() |
