I thought the only way to remove dents from the roof was to take the head-lining out ![]() |

I'm no expert, but i thought you can also pull out dents by spot welding a small bit of steel (rivet i guess), and using a slide tool tap it out. Then just grind the rivet off and smooth, fill and paint... |

tru, We did something similar to remove a large dent from my old car. I don't really like the idea of making more un-neccessary marks in the car. Howw big is the dent? |

Not very big. Just like someone has rested there elbow on it. If I did take the rooflining out would it just push out, or is there a special way of doing it? |

Oh ok. Not sure about the roof-lining & how it comes out. No doubt there's some "special" technique on removing it. Earlier model mini's had a different type of roof-lining compared to the later models....or so I think |

The clubbie we just sprayed had lots of dents in the roof...lots. Most we just didnt bother getting out, would have been a roof of bog otherwise. Two major dents we just filled in with bog completely, so it was higher than the rest of the roof, sanded it back & then feathered in the edges of the bog with the roof. Sanded back the entire roof to bare metal again to remove surface rust (apart from newly bogged areas), sprayed red oxide over it all, sanded it all back, then put the primer and paint on. |
