Mine ended up costing $520, done in velour. They had to start from scratch to make it.... I did have another lining in the car, velour also, which i had made when the car was painted the 2nd time. It was such a crap job the upholsterer didnt even wanna look at it!!! Shame the original vinyl lining got tossed by the knobs who made the 1st velour one... |

Can be tricky to install because of the wrinkles that can pop up as they are stretched. You also need to pull out the front and rear windows, and quarter glass windows. If you buy a hoodlining online, you could take the chance that it won't fit correctly and have wrinkles. To try and correct the wrinkles in one area will induce wrinkles in another area, and on and on it goes(I have grappled with this on before, much anguish, many tears). I reckon if you can find someone who will create and fit a new hoodling for 150, do it. They can be a handful. This is unless you contact some of the previous winners from that auction and ask them how they went with the product he is offering. Mick |

Someone here has already bought one and reported that they fitted well and they were very happy. I want to know how good a match they are for the original (I think the ausmini person got a different colour). ![]() ![]() EDIT: Found it knew it had to be there somewhere: http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16950&highlight=hoodlining |

I've got a repro made from the off white stuff, I compared it at the time to the original one I had in my car and I thought they were pretty much the same. I changed mine out 10 years ago, I can't be sure that the previous owner hadn't replaced it as well, but the one it was replacing looked pretty old and worn out. I might try one of these in my new project car. Mick |

I can show u my receipt if u want!!! Tho the $520 included it being fitted, but that didnt really take that long at all, just slip all the rods through it then fit it to the ceiling frame. Bitta contact glue and that was is it really! I will try n take some pictures 2nite, Its a black velour lining so unsure how the pics will actually turn out??? |

clubmn wrote: this included the rear Sides also, which doesnt come with the $100Kit. Below seems to say that you do get the side pieces ![]() What blue_mini had to say about the kit: Quote: I just took delivery of my now roof linng from these guys.
The workmanship is great, I paid last Thursday and it was delivered today (Monday). Very Happy I was quoted $440.00 through an auto upholsterer, this cost me $114.00 (including postage), plus my time for fitting. I got the roof lining, the panel under the rear windows and the two rear side panels. I recommend this product if you have the rods from the old roof lining and r happy with fitting it yourself (and no i don't work for this company - i am just a happy customer) Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Tim |

Sure do, cause it tucks underneath the front and rear rubbers, mine also tucks under all the door and side window rubbers. |
