Lately my mini's been missing badly. We have tried fixing the most likely causes, Spark plugs, leads, checked dizzy for cracks and cleaned it. I took it down to brickworx and steve told me to put a standard type coil in it (I had a compact bosch one from my old engine) and Champion plugs. Did that and it still misses. The wierd thing is that it idles beautifully and runs perfectly when it's cold but as soon as it warms up and you give it a few revs it turns to crap. I also found that when it gets really bad and I have to pull over I turn the engine off for about 20 seconds and then it runs fine for another few minutes? It's a Single point injected engine so could it be a fault in the computer?

I don't think so, I can't see it. It did come with a small silver cylinder thing that plugged into the coil but my dad said I didn't need it and it's worked fine without it for ages.

I've heard the ignition modules on those dizzies have been known to go bad when hot.
