have seen a few sales on ebay for wide rims up to 7.5inch but dont think there would be a street tyre that would fit, can you get away with something this big on the street :?:

you'd get away with it no problem, as long as it's covered by flares and engineer approved

as for finding tyres, I've never seen a street mini tyre that wide, the usual maximum is 165 and they're at a limit on 6" rims

BUT

I was looking at a mini (not a 'mini', but small) speedway sprint car the other day, I didn't have a tape measure but the tyres were small and really fat, plenty of tread so might be OK on the street. Being a race tyre the size lettering on the sidewall isn't the normal 165 70 10 etc. so I couldn't tell the proper sizing

The only tyres available are grooved or regular slicks. I somehow don't think they'd be street legal.

Just check that whatever tyre you can find to suit them is street legal , or if there are any problems , regardless of whether the tyres were really the cause , your insurance can wipe you .....

Here in the US you can buy 205/something X10s They're allegedly golf cart tyres but they're sold by the largest minibits supplier so I don't know. You might query the Minimania forum to see if anyone has personal experience.

Formula 500s (minimini USAC racers use 10 inch tyres. Allegedly they're too soft for Minis. Although, maybe for autocross.........

Cheers, Ian

they look OK, but somehow they're still just clubman rims

If you're really really keen on them, I know a guy with a set the same but 'only' 6" - he might part with them...

Even though those rims on eBay are clubby steelies, I would love them on my race car. It already has mega-offset 10x6's, but 10x7.5's just SOUND that much better!!! Deep dish rims get me horny

someone posted some pics a while back of 10's under sportspac's im fairly sure those cars were running 7" rims, also stuart wright whose mini is regularly in miniworld(dark blue turbo) im fairly sure runs yokos on 10 by 7's(i think) looks like the poor sidewalls would take a beating though.

If it is wider than its diameter, then its too big, otherwise keep going! :D
