I have replaced the cup/socket that the gear stick sits into and also replaced the 2 bushes inside the housing. I bought the bits from Mini Kingdom way back in 97, I remember back then even it was a mission to track down part numbers......

Duc just get one from mini clinic. they need the business.

Maybe karcraft have them as later rovers were rod change?
You need to get
1- new gear stick
2- new thing that the gear stick goes in (i call it a cup)
3- new bushes (for memory im sure there are little things that you need to tap in)

speak to mini clinic as you can buy all the parts seperate, but maybe a exchange one would be just as easy,

The cup/socket is a fairly brittle metal, i remeber when i broke 1 when i tried replacing mine, when i was tapping the pins through for the rod, it just smashed to pieces..... I wasnt even using much force?
