ive done a search on this topic with no answer to my question. Ive never seen this done before, but is it possible to use sunraisers (however you spell it) on a clubman in particular? Also would it be safe to powdercoat rims? |

Not sure about the sunrasias (i dont know bout spelling either)? If they are a mini rim i would assume so. If not sorry dont know. But powdercoating is fine for rims. I've some nice pollished round the outside and gold on the spoke's minilite knockoffs myself. Benno |

Considering that the moke uses the exact same running gear, you would assume that the same wheels would fit either way. You would just need to fit smaller profile tyres. Funny thing is, I have a bad feeling there was a reason why they couldnt be fitted.... I think 
Spelling is SUNRAYSIA, if my memory serves me correctly

Mokes run the same stud pattern, so 13" Moke rims with 175/50 tyres should fit. But you may run into issues with clearance for your calipers if you have 8.4" disk brakes. Some Sunraysias foul on the calipers.

If you get Sunraysias from a post '78 Moke, you should have no trouble fitting them. Mine (on my moke) came of a drum braked 78 californian and clear standard 8.4" discs no problem. You will have to use tyres with a diameter of about 50 cm. Moke sized tyres (175, 78 13 typically) will be too big. They won't clear the arches and won't fit on the rear trailling arms which are longer on a moke. You may need spacer drums to fit with the wheel offset. Late Mokes had spacer drums. M. |

They don`t fit on the back, they foul on the trailing arms, way too much inset on the rim i`m not a fan of very wide spacers but that`s the only way to fix the problem or otherwise have the centres of the rims moved in |

ahHA, thats quite interestings, well i have drums all round, and my rears in particular are spaced, probably by an inch, not totally sure on that. thanks for advice everyone. so i may be in the clear

Does anyone know the length that the drums were spaced to on a moke? Also do you think is would be wise to powder-coat rims? |

Most rims are factory powder coated. Withstands chips/abrasion better than most paints. |

1/2 inch spacers I seem to remember... No problems with powder coating at all, it lasts years longer than enamel and is available in dozens of colours. About 30 to 40 dollars a rim depending on if you need to get them sand blasted first, or do it yourself. |

Ok, so i measured my rear drums, (which are my main concern), i think they are 1inch spaced drums. How many different spaced drums are there? Yeah i think im gonna sandblast and powder coast each rim. I think i should be fine in regards to the trailing arm. Does anyone know of a low profile tyre that would fit my application? Someone said that you can get extra low pro's? |
