I am now faced with an interesting situation, was talking to an importer yesterday (mates neighbour) He has advised me that he can easily source a JA80 93 onwards Toyota Twin Turbo Supra, 6 speed or auto, low k's very clean with some aftermarket bits, like wheels exhaust, landed here in Oz with rego for $15 to $16k.

Now do i sell the Mini to cover the price or do i sell my VR Crappadore?? Do i keep the Supra as my weekender n keep the crappadore as my daily driver or do i use the Supra as my daily driver and keep the mini as the weekender?

Its only a Supra... daily drive the **** of a thing.

Toyotas are extremely good for reliability, I doubt you'll have a problem.

Good luck and all the best with your decision.

There been stories of 1500hp on stock internals out of a 2J. 600hp is not uncommon. Im not really worried bout the mechanicals, more worried about the body work going down hill. Cause i work at the airport my car is constantly covered in kerosene and dust....

You will regret selling the mini if you do.
They're not as easily replaced as some 'bolt-together' Toyota ricer car or what not.

Do you have to get the Supra?
Is it an idea or an addiction?

I dont have to get the Supra, but getting tired of the Crappadore and it would be nice to go fast. The tt's have like 350hp stock. For the price its just a really good opportunity. Was saving to buy a house, but until i have a partner and 2 incomes it simply wont happen, the real estate market in Cairns is ridiculously way over priced.... So thought id spend the money on a nice sports car!!!! And wanted to make me mates jealous.

All a bit of fun I say, but HOLD ON TO THE MINI!

Im over 25, Had enough rear wheel drive cars to have fun in (sideways, handbrakies) The Mini never gets used, i havnt driven it since late Jan..... I think the hard part will be selling the crappadore, they r worthless these days. 95 Series II VR 5.0L with all the hoon crap.
