What is the easiest way to seperate the knuckle joints from the trumpets? I just cant seem to unscrew mine. Also, just some trivial info..... My front suspension cones are different to each other. One is higher than the other. One has no markings on it, the other has DUNLOP and a part number. One knuckle joint had been packed out with 3 washers (probably to take up the shortfall in the different height cones) and the plastic cup on one was rooted big time! It's amazing how bad some people will let their front suspension become! |

Good WD40 soaking, then use percussion from BFH and blunt instrument... If you stuff the trumpet, tough titties- just go get another or fit Ho-Los.. ![]() |

mmmmm....mental note "PM the Doc before posting in future".... ![]() Thanks Kev. I had the knuckle joint in a vice and was trying pretty damn hard to unscrew without the use of a BFH. I will try your method tonight. |

it depends, mine were fairly easy to seperate.. my drivers side trupet was cracketd about an inch from the bottem, and had fallen out.. i just kept hitting it with a hammer untill it shattered and just fell out.. just keep trying with screwdrivers, crowbars, hammers .. anything that will fit between the doughnut and the trumpet.. good luck ![]() |
