Hey guys,

was just wondering, does anyone know what size slicks I can get for a 13 inch rim??? Rang a couple of places and they say they don't have any.

If not for 13, then what about for a 12" rim?????

If you're hell bent on slicks, try Kostera's in Kalamunda:

http://www.kostera.com.au

Go to Motorsport. . .
then Bias Ply Slicks.

Plenty of 13 inch options.

Nitto tyres do purpose made FWD drag radials. . they would certainly make 13's but I don't have any ideas on Australian distributors.

cheers man,
the problem i have is that the slicks they offer are to tall in profile. like the 60 profile is huge when you put it on a rim.

might have to go a 12" or just not bother and get some nice road tyres like yoko A539's.

kosteras can help with that. cheers

Most purpose-made drag tyres will have a high sidewall, as you need sidewall deformation on launch to avoid wheelspin.
Dunlop Formula R's would be a good choice for 12" - they would be stickier than A539's I would think - they won't last long though!!

yeah i know bout the whole sidewall thing. problem with having a reasonable low mini is i cant have that. damn 13's. lol.

yeah yokohama do a 165/55/12 in a street slick. $230 a tyre  or could pay $280 for a full slick. no tread pattern what so ever, but need a minimum 7inch wide rim.

i think ill just have to save, get some new front rubbers for road use and see how they preform down the track. if i go the 12's slicks, i need to buy new rims aswell. if only i still had my other mini. lol, it would make a nice donation of two rims. lol.

what are peoples recommendations for normal street tyres for 13's??? are the yoko A539s my best choice????
