g'day, After a rather long break from touching my mini's (due to bloody reno's to house) its time to finally get one on the road!!! I have aquired a engine (998) with box (22g1832) apparently it was reconditioned? its in peices so as i'm very new to bulding engines my questions are: 1) what do i check to determine condition of engine (ie if it was reconditioned),how do i tell if pistons are any good?? basicaly want to know if its good to go back together and go in. 2) i have a 22g295 head to go on it, is there any performance mods worth doing to engine to complement head while its in peices? cam etc.. my budget aint big though any help appreciated Thanks Kurross |
