ok heres the lesson dont lend your mini to any1 else ever! and heres the story.. the last thursday night i let my mate take my beloved mini down the road to pick up my older brother and 2 friends, i was drunk so i thought i better not drive and seens the mini only has four seats.. here the keys mate.. yes he has his licence and drives a bmw however it had sweet fa feul so i offered him to take my car. i trusted him he'd driven my car many time before,.... however 10 mins l8er i get a fone call yo gus man i crashed ur car... lil did ino how bad it was.. anyway here are the pics afta i did a lil road side panel beating so that the front right tyre, which needed to be changed cos the last one hit the kerb and everything else so it had had it, could turn freely...
hope the pics work..

my brother who was sitting in the front seat told me he must have been doing about 70+ and it felt like he didnt even brake and then went round this corner in subiaco here in perth and went over a kerb which has a fenced in hedge in the middle he took out the fence and the hedge.. he was honest about it he just wants to get it fixed... from what you can see do u guys rekon id be better off looking for a new mini or repair the body work coz from what i could see there was no bent shafts undernieth or any subframe damage! just seemed to be body damge how ever im sure the wheel allignment is way or coz whilst driving home i could go round corners with no hands. giggle

The self turning could likly be the castor bars. I use to let me mates drive my car all the time, Untill once i was @ the pub and a random came up 2 me and told me he once drove my car, and was doing handbrake turns in it. He said the last owner let him  How is that!!!!. anyway. Fix the front either with new panels or what about a fiberglass nose cone.

Check the steering arm bolts where they attach to the hub carrier. They sometimes sheer a bolt which will cause problems.

I dont let my friends drive my car, so there are no problems. I even draw the line at family members. The mini is becoming tolerable for my folks to drive (if i need it driven some where), but the mazda NO WAY....
