Ok guys I am just trying to get an idea of how much it would cost to turbo a gti engine. This is the go, lets say its geting whacked into a clubman. All I want to know is how much it would cost to get everything needed to make the engine a turbo engine, an idea of what sort of parts are needed and if things like a front mount would fit. Don't want to do any body mods, and want to keep the engine stock internals etc...so how much boost could be run on a stock engine? I think that all makes some sort of sense, anyway just lend me what ever information you have. Thanks
Todd

what sort of GTI ? peugeot, proton, there are plenty of them ???

if it's not an A series, I suggest you go to a specialist for the car the engine came out of

to turbo a g13b you will need:

Turbo: $200-$2500
Manifold: $400-$700
dump pipe: $200-$300
Oil delivery line: $40?
Oil return: $70
Water lines in and out: $100
piping from turbo to inlet $50

that will get your engine to boosted, but how long will it last standard?

You will also need an,

extra injector+ controller: $250
adjustable fuel regulator:$199
fuel pump: $199
blow of valve: $100-300

Thanks brad, it at least gives me some idea of the cost involved. If/when it actually happens it would only ever run low boost so it should last a while and if and when it does pack it in, makes a good excuse to rebuild the engine. Thanks again brad.
